Dr. Tobail holds a PhD in engineering from the University of Stuttgart and brings more than 20 years of international experience in solar technology development and industrialization.
His background includes industrial work at Hanwha Qcells, research at IBM Watson Research Center, and technology leadership and consulting across Germany, China, India and MENA.
His technical experience spans PERC, TOPCon, HJT, passivated contacts and tandem cells, with a track record that includes 25.5% solar-cell efficiency in mass production. His work connects research with equipment selection, process integration, factory ramp-up and production improvement.
He leads UPGREAT’s consultancy assignments, with specialist support arranged for each project. His current work also includes battery-storage advisory and battery-intelligence development.
